Joyce Harry (Bennett)
Joyce Irene Harry- age 76 passed away peacefully at her home in Farwell on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Joyce was born on April 4, 1941 in Muskegon, Michigan, to parents Harold H. and Wilma (Osborne) Bennett. She was married to Charles Harry on June 5th, 1959 in Shepard Michigan and together raised two children. Joyce worked as an inspector and later as a "troubleshooter" for Evart Products. Her work took her to Cincinnati, OH where she kept an apartment, coming home on weekends. She retired from Evart Products. Joyce was a passionate quilter, making beautiful quilts for Veterans, and also animal shelters. She owned a "long-arm" quilting shoppe, and was awarded many awards in competitions for her beautiful quilts. She loved her birds, and was "glorious" person, never having anything bad to say about anyone and was never angry. Joyce had a pilot License and owned her own plane. She was a funny person and was a joy to be around. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles, her son David Harry of Farwell, her daughter Debra Norman and companion Dave of Clare, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers Ed Johnson and wife Ann of Clare, Michael Bennett of Clare, Richard Johnson of Clare, sisters; Norma Crawford and husband Don of Clare, Char Kirtchner and husband Lou of Traverse City, Dawn Horseman of Lower Burrell, PA, Sandy Lane also of Lower Burrell, PA, and Cheri Brown and husband Don of Farwell. She was preceded in death by both parents and her Mom who raised her; Margaret Bennett. A cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
