Harriet Louise Bascom passed away Sunday May 10th, 2020, at age 93, after living a rich, full life. Harriet was born on October 18, 1926. She was married and was thrilled to raise three children. On January 4th, 1981 she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. On September 1st, 1989 she became a full-time minister of the good news, devoting herself to this work for more than 30 years. In 1990, she moved to Farwell to live with her daughter. Harriet gave all her time and resources as a volunteer helping people learn about God and the Bible, calling on many of her friends and neighbors at their homes. She loved studying the Bible, attending her religious meetings, and preaching to other people. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Instead, she was happy to share her anecdotal quotes about life to those she loved. She loved her family. She was especially proud of her great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with family, getting together to have meals and games. She was hospitable, opening her home to have friends over often for pie, cards, and SCRABBLE. Harriet is survived by 3 sisters Lois, Benny, and Alice. Sister-in-law Shirley. Daughters Wanda and Diane and son Marvin. Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great, great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of meeting and knowing her. In lieu of sending flowers, Harriet and the family would encourage you to make a charitable contribution on WWW.JW.ORG

Harriet was a very special person and I loved every minute I got to spend with her! I'll never forget our trip to New York, our WT studies and all the Euchre parties at Wanda's house. I'll miss her very much! Sue Hardy
