Charles Jerome Nadeau, Jr.- age 68 of Lake, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was lovingly surrounded by his family. He fought a long and very courageous battle against his cancer. Chuck was born on May 16th, 1951 in Lincoln Park, Michigan to parents Charles John and Rosemary (Macoit) Nadeau. He was a hard worker with an admirable work ethic. He worked as a steel worker on special projects for National Steel. He loved his church and was very active with all activities involving the kids. He had “the gift of gab” and his conversations were very infectious, eventually pulling in everyone within listening distance. He loved wood working, art and music. His is survived by his high school sweetheart and soulmate of almost 50 years, JoAnne (Willoughby), three sons; Charles, Andrew, Michael, two beautiful granddaughters, Makaylah and Ashlynn Turner two sisters; Catherine Hill and Renee Blair, and so many more family members and friends. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart, Michigan at 12:00PM. Fr. Joe Fix will perform funeral rites. Family and friends may gather and visit from 11:00 AM until the service begins at 12:00PM. Chuck will be laid to rest at Garfield Township Cemetery in Lake. A funeral luncheon will be held at the church. In lieu of flowers please consider memorials to the Sacred Heart Kids Faith Formation in Chuck’s name.
