Gloria Kay Schnepp, age 75, of Farwell went to be with her Lord on June 9th, 2020 at American House of Holland, surrounded by her family. Gloria was born in Flint, MI on April 16, 1945, the daughter of Hjalmar and Selma Bloomquist. While both her parents were of Swedish descent, her mother was born in MN and her father was a Swedish immigrant. She married her college sweetheart James Alfred Schnepp on August 19, 1967, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Gloria attended Central Michigan University where she earned her undergraduate in teaching. She later completed a Master’s in Education, as well. Gloria worked at the Strawberry Patch Nursery school in Farwell followed by several years at Evart Elementary school as a kindergarten teacher. In her spare time, she enjoyed having authentic Swedish dinners, spending time with family and grandkids, and shopping with her daughter, sisters, and friends.
Gloria is survived by her two children; son Erik and wife Debra Schnepp of Vicksburg; daughter Emily Ouzts and husband Allen of Zeeland; four grandchildren; Samuel, Nathan, Mason, and Avery; three sisters, Sonja Melrose and husband Howard of Fenton, MI, Karen Frischkorn and husband Richard of Howe, IN, and Diane Lundwall of Sweden. She loved her family and touched their lives deeply.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Monday, June 15th, 2020, for visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM at the Clare Church of the Nazarene, 10160 S. Grant Ave., Clare, MI. Pastor Tim Fall will officiate a service at 12:00 PM, followed by a luncheon at the church. The family and friends may then proceed to a burial service at the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.
