Obituary

Wilma Jaunita Cook – age 89 - passed away at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing on
August 1, 2020.
Wilma was born on March 31, 1931 in Clare County to parents Charles P. and Erma (Owens) Scott. Wilma graduated from high school and attended college for a time. She went on to work for Holley Carburetor in Clare. She also drove school buses for Bath Schools for 7 years, and she worked in the student housing department of Michigan State University for 17 years. She was very active with the Red Hat Ladies, and was a member of the Bath Baptist Church. She loved to square dance and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and especially being a grandmother.

Wilma is survived by her sons Ricky (Rita) Cook of Muskegon, and James (Karen) Cook of Farwell, and her daughter Catherine Mason of Lake. She is also survived by many grandchildren: Becky (Nate) Westbrook of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Richard Cook of Muskegon, James Cook Jr of Lake, Ben (Erica) Cook of Ovid, Andrew (Katie) Cook of Farwell, and Tonya Bolzer and her great-grandchildren: Xander, Ezra, Izrael, Brittany, Ben, Amelia, Alexandria, Rori, Mikayla, Avery, Zoey, Westley, and Tyler as well as many other family members and friends both in the Farwell area and Lansing.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Charles Scott and Erma (Owens) Scott and her twin brother, Wilbur Scott.

A service has been scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Ryan Hysell and Karen Cook will officiate. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Wilma will be laid to rest next to her brother, Wilbur, at the North Brinton Cemetery in Lake following the service Friday. Her family has requested that donations be made to the Family's Wishes so they can disperse funds between the multiple charity organizations that Wilma was so passionate
about. We encourage you to share your memories and condolences with Wilma's family online at www.CampbellStocking.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell Stocking Funeral Home, Farwell.

Wilma has been a Weekly Salon Client since 1986, every Friday, that makes us both a bit on the mature side.

Hairdressers n Nail Techs understand what it means to spend so many years with a client.
Wilmas has become like family to us, and will stay in our hearts 💞

Wilma is the last of my weekly clients and I will miss chatting with her . She was always a bit feisty, and lookin good , dressed and ready for most any outing . And not afraid to speak her mind, which I can appreciate.

You gave it all you had Lady and never gave up fighting to stay on your feet and enjoying life! You will be missed !
