John Samuel Williams Jr. born at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital on October 4, 1945 to John Samuel Williams Sr. and Louise Alice Gentry. Jack to all he knew was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on September 15, 2020. While this accident is tragic and catastrophic, it does not define Jack. Jack and his wife, Michele (Mickie) moved to the area in 2002. They quickly grew roots in the community and made many friends. Jack’s mother Alice Gentry had a house in the area before they moved up here and they fell in love with the countryside. Jack’s brother, Jim, followed to the area soon after. Jack was a well-loved member of the American Legion Post 558; he was a loyal member of the Forgotten Eagles motorcycle club and he was a long-time member of the Detroit Carpenter’s Union 687. Jack was so close to his 75th birthday and by all accounts was bound to get there. Jack was a simple man who did not want a lot of fanfare or special attention. Jack enjoyed hotdogs and Pepsi Cola. He loved to ride his motorcycle and help others in the community. Jack was a patriot and a loyal friend. Jack is survived by his wife Michele Williams (Adas) and his brother, Jim Williams who both live in the community. Jack has two sisters-in-law: Betty Adas and Darlene Adas, and a brother-in-law, Rodrick Adas (wife, Rita). Jack is also survived by his three stepchildren; Micheal Sanford (wife Patricia), Melissa Noël, Jason Sanford and two step-grandchildren; Justine Dove (husband, Jamie) and Zachary Noël, and three step-Great Grandchildren; Aidan Neal, Brady Neal, and Cebastian Neal. Jack was also a loving uncle to his Nephews Derak Williams (wife Sarah), Richard Moden, and Melvin Moden and his niece Tamara Honeycutt. Jack also had many step nieces and nephews: Pamela Adas, Dawn Arkwood (husband Todd), Rene’ Beal, Amanda Adas, Suzy Bruder (husband, Ryon), Tim Bloedow, Tony Kovatch, and Andrew Kovatch. Jack is also survived by his great nieces; NaTasha Moden and VaNessa Moden and his two Great-Great Nephews Kaleb Moden and Isaiah Moden and his two Great Nieces Madelyn Williams and Lillian Williams. Jack also had step Great nephews and nieces as well; Christopher Voight (wife, Patricia), Jeffrey Gnida, Jeremy Gnida, Tristan Beal, Zachary Bruder and Raena Bruder. There is a memorial service and fundraiser planned for Jack at the American Legion Hall for their regular Fall Harvest Dinner from 2-5 PM on September 27th. There will also be a funeral ride in his memory at a date to be determined later. Please share memories and condolences with Jack’s family online at www.CampbellStocking.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell Stocking Funeral Home, Farwell.
