Jason Daryl Vaughan – age 80 of Clare, passed away at his home in Lake on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Jason was born to parents Robert Allen and Edith (Lampkin) Vaughan on January 4, 1940 in Lansing, MI. After graduating high school, Jason joined the US Army, stationed in the South Pacific he became an atomic veteran. On November 9, 1991 he married Wanda June Dotson in Paris, Tennessee. He went on to become Commander of the DAV Chapter 105 out of Lake, MI, and worked for many years as a small engine repair mechanic at Jay’s Small Engine Repair. He was a collector of “all the good stuff”.

Jason is survived by his daughters Cindy (Ken) Pinckney of Perry, Jean Conley of Lake, Virginia (Tim) Owens, a son, Jason (Angela) Vaughan of S. Pittsburg, TN, step daughters Melinda Faye of TN, and Wanda Kay (David) Sanos of Henry, TN, 7 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a brother, Allen Vaughan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Vaughan, a son, Robert Allen Vaughan, his parents Robert and Edith Vaughan, a stepson, Louis Franklin Taylor, brothers Charles and Roger Vaughan, and a sister, Merlee Andersen.
A celebration of life service is being held at the DAV Chapter 105, 9480 School St., Lake, MI 48632, on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
