Susan Christine Rees – Age 71 of Farwell, passed away at her home on Surrey Lake on Sunday, November 15, 2020 surrounded by her closest loved ones. Susan was born on October 21, 1949 to parents Anthony and Eleanor (Cinpak) Adamowicz in Highland Park, MI. After high school, Susan was united in marriage to Richard Allen Rees on October 18, 1968 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Catholic Church in Livonia, MI, right across the street from her parents’ home. Together, she and Richard had two children. They moved to Farwell from the New Hudson area in 2005. Susan worked clerical as an HR specialist for Consumer’s Energy for many years. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Clare. Susan was a member of the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed the casino and served as a transcriber for HOA meeting minutes on the Surrey Lake Homeowner’s Association. She also volunteered at the Clare Hospital operating the gift cart, and she served as an election worker. She loved life on the lake and going out to eat with friends and neighbors, specifically with their ‘eating club’, the Wednesday Night Foodies. Most of all, Susan loved being a grandmother.
Susan will be missed by those surviving her, including her husband of 52 years, her daughters Julie and her husband Jeremy Frame, and Jessica Rees and her significant other, Justin Dean, as well as two grandchildren, Rohan and Coral, and a brother, Joseph Adamowicz.
Susan was preceded in death by both of her parents, Anthony and Eleanor Adamowicz, 2 brothers, Arthur and Anthony, and 2 sisters, Patricia Perry and Judith Anderson.
According to families’ wishes, a cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there are no services planned at this time, family has opted for a private memorial service to be determined at a later date. Please share your memories and condolences online with Susan’s family at Arrangements have been entrusted to the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home, Farwell.

My Phil always called Sue "Sweet Sue". She was a dear friend to both of us. I will miss her very much.
