Nina June Wilkerson, age 74, of Farwell, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23rd, 2020, at her home surrounded by family. She was born February 9, 1946, in Clare, Michigan to Floyd William Irwin and Ella June (Shilling) Irwin. She was a 1964 graduate of Farwell High School. Nina worked as a factory worker for 30 years, demonstrating an astounding work ethic. She married Arnold (Harold) Wilkerson on February 6, 1965, in Farwell. Throughout the early years of their marriage, Nina and Harold welcomed three beautiful boys, who were the most important part of her life.
Nina was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; camping with family and friends, hosting family meals, playing cards, and watching her favorite Hallmark movies. Nina had an amazing ability to turn anyone's day around with her radiant smile.
She is survived by her sons; Aaron Wilkerson, Wade and his wife, Michelle Wilkerson, and Corey Wilkerson, her brothers; Gail (Carol) Irwin, Lloyd (Bert) Irwin, Ken (Gloria) Irwin, and Loren (Diana) Irwin, her grandchildren; Meghan (Michael), Cody, Justin (Grace), Kali, Branden, Jenna, and Isabelle, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ella and Floyd Irwin, her husband; Arnold (Harold) Wilkerson, and her brother; Don Irwin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell, from 2:00-4:00 PM, and from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home. Pastor Connie Bongard will officiate. Nina will be laid to rest next to her husband, Arnold (Harold) Wilkerson, in the Surrey Township Cemetery following the funeral service. In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required by all to enter the building, and temperatures will be taken at the door. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell Stocking Funeral Home, Farwell.
