Ronald Elmer Osborn

Ronald Elmer Osborn, age 84 of Farwell went home to be with his Lord and Savior March 13th, 2021. Ron was born May 24th, 1936 in Clare, Michigan to Elmer Leroy Osborn and Pearl May (Wilkie) Osborn, but he didn’t arrive alone. His twin brother followed right behind. Ron was a proud US Army veteran being honorably discharged in October 1957. Ron was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Beth) Williams on August 18th, 1962. Ron had many jobs that he excelled at but spent the majority of his life driving trucks as a furniture mover, later retiring. He then continued to drive dump trucks as a side job for Harsh Excavating and Bauer Excavating. He always worked tirelessly for his family whom he loved dearly. Ron was a former fireman for both Jerome Township in Sanford and Surrey Township in Farwell. Ron was an avid lottery player never turning away a good scratch off ticket. Ron was a member of the Clare Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed attending as much as he could. He was excited to be baptized only a few years ago.
Ron leaves behind his wife Beth, of 59 years, his daughter Devonne Osborn of Farwell, his son Donald (Julie) Osborn of Farwell, daughter Davette (Carl) Schafer of Farwell, son David (Lisa) Osborn of Clare, and son Darren Osborn of Farwell, 11 grandchildren and significant others; Earl, Kari, Bryce, Amber, Logan, Jaedalin, Vince, Ryan, Derek, Carissa, Justin, Alexis, Amber, Tyler, Jacob, Zane, Kandice, and Ethan, 20 great grandchildren; Matthew, Ellymay, Ruby, Ivy, Carter, Hunter, Aiden, Skyler, Elaina, Braxton, Ayla, Jace, Dylan, Evan, Lillian, Tucker, Joseph, Keean, Silas and Iris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pearl, his in laws, Carl and Gladys Williams, his 7 siblings; Ernest (Danny), Kathleen (Kate), Ruth, Elva (Red), Laurel, Richard (Dick), Nelson, 4 grandchildren; Ronald, Christopher, Monica, Dylan, and 1 great grandson, Oliver.
A funeral service will be held at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Jeremy Gomez presiding. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Face coverings will be required, and temperatures will be taken at the door upon entry. Ron will be laid to rest in Surrey Township Cemetery following the service, with military honors taking place at the graveside.
