Martha “Mardee” Elizabeth Kross- age 67, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Farwell, on Monday, May 9th, 2021. Mardee was born on February 13, 1954 in Detroit to parents Anthony Joseph, Jr., and Lena Consuelo (Velasco) Bugliesi. She was married to Larry David Kross on May 4, 1981 in Clare. Larry preceded her in death on June 7, 2012. Mardee was an avid golfer, and an active member of several service organizations which included Clare VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Post # 558, Lake DAV, Clare-Farwell Moose Lodge, and Lake Eagles. Mardee was literally a fixture and known by everyone at Palmer’s Hardware where she has been employed for many years. Her family is everything to her, and even though her grand-nephew and grand-niece Connor and Tessa Pipes drove her crazy, she loved them all so very much. She will be greatly missed by her brother Anthony Bugliesi and wife Kathy of Indiana, sisters; Linda Sengstock and husband Joseph of Sterling Heights, Maria Wilson and husband Mark of Warren, Liza Rogers, and husband Danny of Saint Clair Shores, seventeen nieces and nephews, and fifteen grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, brother Joseph Bugliesi, Godson Joseph Sengstock, and best fur-baby, Martha-Magoo. A funeral service honoring Mardee is planned for Monday, May 17th at 7PM at the Campbell Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Family and friends may visit from 1PM until the time of service at 7PM. Kelly Morley will officiate. Covid 19 guidelines and restrictions will be closely followed. If you are unable to attend, please consider sharing your condolences and memories online at

We will miss Mardee's wonderful helpful smile when visiting the hardware in town. She knew where every single nut and bolt is located. So saddened to hear of our communities loss. A true patriot and hard worker. Condolences to the family and our community for our loss.

To my Dear Old Neighbor Friends , the Bugliesi Family I extend my Heartfelt Sympathy; we have all lost a very special person from out lives. It would be an understatement to say that Marty and I were friends; to not only me but to so many others that adored her and loved to be around her. Marty was raised by exceptional parents! Lena and Tony.....I personally was so blessed to have that families Love and Friendship while growing up and going to school on the East Side. Marty personified what is was to be Loving, Joyous and Unselfish, as she had the gift of gab, laughter, athleticism, charisma, and the ability to set everyone around her at ease and into a good mood. Man did we have fun; I'll never forget our teenage years Ms. Bugliesi; your Silver Barracuda, going dancing, and constant joking and laughing around. Give me one more pinch will ya, and save a seat for me at the table up in Heaven! Your Love and Memory will be strong in our Hearts , Thank You so much for your Loyal Loving Memorable Friendship! Peace Be With You Bugliesi!!!!! TOM KUEHLER, Denver, Colorado

It is hard for me to think that Mardee isn’t up in Farwell and that we will no be reliving all the great times we had together. She was a best of friends to many including me. When we weren’t driving around goofing off with many of her friends or eating Buscemi’s pizza on Gratiot we were cleaning the office on Mt Elliot with her dad. I am so sad to see her go but who knows …

I was blessed to grow up with so many wonderful friends in Detroit. Having left for college, I never saw most of them again. The Bugliesis lived around the corner from my folks house ( Kuehlers) If I wasn't hanging around over at Marty n Joes well they were over at our house that's how it used to be on the East Side circa 1970s. Marty and I had so many fun times together; Class Act Woman Always! Xxoo Love Ya Marty. ..see ya on the dancefloor up in Heaven !!!!!! Tom Kuehler
